Ms. Maryam Al Saad is a distinguished leader in public diplomacy, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the Katara Public Diplomacy Center and the Secretary General of the Global Public Diplomacy Network (GPDNet). In these esteemed roles, she spearheads global initiatives to foster cross-cultural dialogue, deepen mutual understanding, and strengthen international cooperation, with a particular emphasis on advancing public diplomacy and cultivating strategic global partnerships.
Since joining the Katara Cultural Village Foundation in 2010, Ms. Al Saad has played a central role in shaping its international profile. Her career began in Katara’s International Affairs team, where her expertise and commitment to diplomacy led to progressively senior roles, including Director of International Affairs Department and Director of Marketing Department. Over the years, she has played a key role in shaping and leading a wide range of high-level cultural and diplomatic initiatives, both within Qatar and on the international stage.
As the driving force behind the Katara Public Diplomacy Center, Ms. Al Saad has developed and executed innovative initiatives that not only showcase Qatar’s cultural heritage but also promote global dialogue on peace, prosperity, and sustainable development. Her strategic vision, combined with her deep understanding of international relations, has earned her recognition as a respected thought leader in the diplomatic community.
Ms. Al Saad’s expertise in managing complex, large-scale cultural projects has made her a key liaison between Katara and the Diplomatic Corps in Qatar, where she has built strong, collaborative relationships with international stakeholders. Her diplomatic brilliance and commitment to promoting mutual respect have been essential to her success in leading impactful public diplomacy campaigns.
Holding a Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs from Qatar University and an Executive Specialized Master’s degree from HEC Paris, Ms. Al Saad’s academic credentials reflect her dedication to global diplomacy and cross-cultural communication.
